How Esports is Breaking Barriers

For many years, gaming suffered image problems, with negative associations bound to its proverbial back like the rock that Sisyphus bore. Slowly, as esports gained popularity and global prominence, the stigma began to lift. And during the pandemic, the cloak was firmly cast aside as gamers began breaking barriers and esports became the best activity to keep students in contact with each other while social distancing. Not only is the stigma gone, but gaming has been lauded as the activity that kept social interactions alive and students in touch with each other during Covid-19. Gaming is a solid school activity and once again, esports is at the forefront.

LBJ ESports Information


The LBJ ESports Club usually meets Tuesdays 3:15-4 in the library.
